Para su boda o evento especial, un coche único
First owner– Sir Oliver Franks, Baron Franks.
Coachwork by H.J. Mulliner & Co. Ltd., London, with design no. 7055 (Sedanca de Ville style), of which only 61 vehicles were produced. Mulliner, one of the most prestigious English coachbuilders, began working with Rolls Royce in 1907. Today it still works with Rolls Royce as Mulliner-Park Ward, designing and modifying standard cars.
This vehicle has one of the most expensive and sophisticated coachworks of the period. The engine and chassis cost £2,035, and the coachwork £1,816.
In the “Sedanca de Ville”, the roof over the chauffeur’s section may be completely opened, so ensuring a spectacular entrance at any social event. The chauffeur drove in front in the open air, while the passengers behind were protected by an electrically-operated division window to give them comfort, safety and privacy. As they used to say back then, the most important thing was not so much to attend social events as to arrive in style. A triumphant arrival.
This vehicle used to belong to the British embassy in Washington (Ministry of Supply), and was used as the official car of the British royal family when travelling in the United States.
It features a chauffeur division window, bar, extra seats, walnut veneer, folding tables, and much else, making it one of the most luxurious and spectacular cars of its day
