The Buick Eight Convertible is one of the most iconic cars of the 50’s. In 1947 the Buick Convertible was one of James Dean’s favourite cars.
In 1948 a total of 108,521 Buick Eights were manufactured, and in 1947, 159,588 . It has an eight-cylinder, linearly-mounted engine (hence the name of the car), which supplies 107 hp. The bonnet, seats and windows are automatically controlled with a hydraulic system.
Few cars are as original and authentic as this model, popularised by films like Grease. When we speak of the Buick Eight Convertible , we are talking about one of the most spacious cars, with the most spectacular lines, that exist; it is so wide that it can easily accommodate 6 passengers . The gear lever is located on the steering wheel, so that there is room for 3 people in front .
