Emblemas de la automoción
The Buick Super is a spectacular car in appearance and size. Produced between 1940 and 1958 by General Motors, it is a considerably fast car, capable of reaching speeds of over 140 km/h.
The car has the distinction of having been designed with 2 front windscreens, sporting a nice curved shape. Although the engine is mounted in the front, it is a rear wheel drive vehicle, with a tank capacity of 82 litres of fuel.
The Super remains an excellent example of the style and mood of the '50s.
Our vehicle happens to have been luxury taxi in the '50s. Its first owner was a Marquis from Madrid. After a time, the vehicle passed into the hands of a wealthy textile industrialist of Sabadell, whose widow gave it the developer who had built their factories and homes. After a few years, the developer left it at a dealers as part payment for a new car. Finally the car arrived, delivered by a taxi driver, at the dealers Sepauto in Terrassa. It worked so well that Mr. FrancescGarriga decided to keep it.
